When we were kids Heidi & I would occupy our summers with food, sun bathing, playing school & a pool. We often would wake up at our leisure to plan what we wanted to do today. Whether we would take a walk to None Such Farm, set up ‘store’, demand Ree & Kris to be our students while we pretended to be teachers, or play in a pool. Each summer (probably a few times in each summer) we would get kiddie pools. Not the hard plastic ones but the more flexible, 8 feet wide which always needed a patch or two due to amount of swimming. Heidi & I would be life guards and would even require ‘adult’ swims. We would make whirlpools, waves and only stop to eat. It defines my childhood.
This summer Mark & I decided to buy a kiddie pool from K-mart. As we were searching for the best pool for us I saw this picture located on a box. Absolutely hilarious but seriously inappropriate.

This was the best money we spent on a hot summer day. We splashed, sun bathed and laughed together. I forgot about all the craziness, stress and to - do lists. It made me feel like a kid again.
Enjoy the last few weeks of summer. Much love kids.
